West Heanton is a hub for our local area: residential and respite care, supported living suites, domiciliary care, a busy day centre, meals on wheels, and a sitting service — with a warm, family-run ethos since 1991.
28 residential rooms, 5 supported living suites, domiciliary care across Torrington, Holsworthy, Hatherleigh and surrounding villages — and a purpose-built day centre open Monday–Friday.
Founded by Sid & Phylis Martin in 1991 on a converted dairy farm, West Heanton began with a simple idea — a home where people feel genuinely cared for. Today, that same ethos continues through the next generation and an exceptional team who bring warmth, professionalism and dedication to every day.
We’re guided by a clear purpose: to provide exceptional, compassionate, person‑centred care that enriches daily life and supports independence. Our team is at the heart of this — skilled, committed and proud of the difference they make. We also champion care as a rewarding career and remain committed to sustainable, environmentally responsible practices that honour our rural roots.
From long-term residential care to support in your own home, we’re here to help you and your family find the right option.
